Priyam Baruah explores the underpinnings behind what exactly makes a student excited to learn and how we can reimagine the way we educate to foster engagement in the classroom. Reflecting on her experiences of being both a student and a teacher at 17 years old, she shares her 3 step formula on transforming the methods by which we how we educate for generations to come.
Priyam is a state-ranking Academic Decathlon and Science Fair competitor, molecular genetics researcher, and President of Cognitive Exchange, a global student-led nonprofit which seeks to provide opportunities for students to expand on their writing and presenting skills.
Through her efforts, she’s led the development of numerous courses at Cognitive Exchange which have been taught to hundreds of students across the world in subjects such as preparing for interviews, writing & presenting persuasive speeches, and constructing debate cases. After exploring what truly makes students excited to learn, Priyam aspires to mesh her passions for research with mentorship by reimagining education to new heights.
