EU Elections: The Future Is In Your Hands

Why vote European Union 2024 General Elections

Voting in the EU election allows you to have a say in shaping the future of Europe, influencing policies on issues like climate change, economy, and immigration. It's a chance to support candidates who align with your values and advocate for positive change within the EU. Plus, voting is a fundamental right and a way to participate in democracy.

Eligibility to vote in the EU elections typically includes EU citizens who are at least 18 years old and reside in an EU member state. Each member state may have specific requirements, so it's essential to check the regulations in your country. Additionally, EU citizens living in another member state have the option to vote either in their home country or in their country of residence.

How to protect EU democracy through votes:

  • Educate yourself: Understand the policies and positions of candidates and parties to make informed choices.
  • Vote wisely: Support candidates and parties that prioritize democratic values, human rights, and transparency in your EU member state.
  • Combat misinformation: Be critical of misinformation and disinformation campaigns, and promote fact-based discourse. Shine your eye.
  • Advocate for electoral reforms: Support initiatives to strengthen democratic institutions, increase voter participation, and ensure fair elections in your EU country
  • Engage in civil society: Participate in civic organizations and movements that promote democracy, accountability, and inclusive governance.
  • Hold elected officials accountable: Monitor their actions, engage with them through letters, petitions, and public forums, and demand transparency and accountability. Don’t sit on the fence for a better European Union. Democracy is the answer
