Important Application Requirements
Applicants should carefully review the guidelines before submitting. Some of the major requirements include:
- Funding requests must not exceed USD 10,000.
- Projects must still be in development or implementation. Completed projects are not eligible.
- Applications and supporting documents must be submitted in English.
- Applicants must provide a detailed project budget.
- Two professional references are required.
- A one-minute video introducing the project and explaining its expected impact must accompany the application.
- Purpose Earth states that applications generated by artificial intelligence (AI) will not be accepted, emphasizing the importance of applicants submitting work in their own authentic voice.
Selection Timeline
Applications will be reviewed between September and December 2026. Successful applicants are expected to be notified between January and February 2027, with grant disbursement beginning shortly afterwards. Public announcement of grant recipients is expected in April/May 2027.
